How cold WAS it?

Because I've become a tad portly lately (non-smoking don'tcha know - 8+ months now) I decided to go for a walk today.

I knew it was going to be cold, so, as a savvy Canucklehead, I dressed for it. I put on my warmest coat (in lieu of my leather jacket) for the first time this winter. Wisely, I grabbed my ear-flapped fishing hat instead of my usual ball cap and plopped it on my noggin.

I was ready.

It didn't take too long, even going with the wind, for me to make a slight wardrobe adjustment.

Then I turned into the wind. Sheesh. Maybe it's better I should stay fat?

Anyway. Tonight I'm going to sit near this and sip a Scotch. Scotch is low in calories, right?

Y'know, I miss that about winter. You can't really warm up until you've gotten co-o-old!

Love the step-by-step sequence; "dressing in layers" means something of a whole new magnitude in your part of the world!

Yeah poet, it's the only way to survive at times.

I feel really sorry for you, having to bask allatime in a warm climate, with coast-to-coast beaches and bikini-clad beauties.

Oh well, to each his own....

;)

I say let's all go visit, Poet.

Lori, you've been hanging around Mac too long. That comma makes it read (to me at least) like you're inviting Poet to come visit me -- when any SANE person would be inviting me to visit Poet. :)

Nice hat, Frank. The hood on the jacket helped too, I see. I really like the fireplace. Think I'll throw a couple logs in ours and contemplate writing in front of the fire. Stay warm!

PS. You're right! Lori has been hanging around the serial comma Mac. How about we visit you both?! ;)

Hi Mr. Frank,

Watching your pictures fly by down the page reminded me of one of those flick-picture-books. I think if anyone knows how to rug-up, it'd be you lot up there. I'd dearly love to share some of our weather with you, but...ask me later.

Anyway, I've decided to succumb to the blog-phenomenon and get one of my own...you're more than welcome to come visit my corner and soapbox.

Exactly how cold was it anyway?

Sounds like a plan Jo. :)

Althea - I'll be happy to visit. Oh, and it was colder than an Oddsie can imagine. :)

Hi,

You have a decent blog.

It looks cold where you live. Isn't that a deerstalker? And do you stalk deers?

Regards,
Coral

Keep checking now and again coral - sometimes the blog is practically indecent. ;)

Nope, not a deerstalker. It's a Goretex camo hat by Browning that I usually only wear when fishing during cold rains or sleet/snow.

And nope again. I stalk fish. :)
