It was like this....

"Frank," I hear a few of you mutter, "you haven't posted anything lately."

Let me s'plain. No. That will take too long. Let me recap.

My computer has been in the shop for much of the last 10 days. And when it hasn't been in the shop, it's been fritzing. And when it's not been fritzing, I've been out of town.

So there.

I should be posting (and emailing) with my usual degree of infrequency in a few days. I hope you'll wander back for a look-see then.

I hear ya, Frank. I sing the same ol' song. . . and I work on one all day long every day. Still can't stand 'em. Think the world would be a better, slower, happier, place without 'em. On the other hand. . . .

Are you positive it hasn't been fritzing while you've been out of town? Tree falling in a forest... :)

Anyway Hillary, I suspect it isn't the operating system at fault so much as the operator! *ducks*

Jerry, I hear ya. They're a mixed blessing all right.

Ubi, Bill Gates didn't get rich by making stable, long-lasting machines. Planned obsolescence is his mantra. ;)

Somehow I read that as "planned adolescence" but that would be YOUR mantra. ;)
